DanceFit – Class not running at present time but you might enjoy my Zumba class on a Wednesday or Friday evening at Mill Hill School, Northallerton.
Dance moves to upbeat music.

Salsa was another out of my ‘comfort zone’ class!! This is an ongoing learning curve. Taught the basic steps one several workshops – mambo cha cha cha, chasse samba etc… then left to write my own Choreography!!!
I’m NO dancer but this appeals to the girls who attend the class. Its fun, not serious and 45 minutes of dancing while burning calories we don’t realise we are doing!! I find with this class it attracts people that may not exercise or fancy ‘dance’ based class but don’t want the seriousness or partner that comes with those types of classes.
So I teach you the steps, moves and routines. We go over and over it again and again till we have all got it. I add on maybe another combination – maximum 3 and dance 1 2 & 3 after each other. We have old routines from over the years and we drag them back each week. Choreography for new ones is written and we may just take a few weeks to learn and tweak. This becomes ‘old and the cycle repeat itself!

There are only so many Salsa moves so you may see the odd aerobic move snuck it!! The music is excellent (most of it anyway) and we go mad now and again in class and perform a ‘dance’ at a faster pace! We have so much fun and do lots of laughing at each others mistakes – especially mine!!!
Fun class – another favorite!
Oh you CAN wear a little skirt over your joggers if you want but at the moment it’s just me!! NO HEELS just comfy shoes/trainers or ‘dance’ shoes.
So Salsa moves performed to Latin music in a Keep Fit situation/class.
You won’t be disappointed!
